Hi Sisters,
I’m Ms. September (waves regally). For the talent portion of this show I will whistle Somewhere Over the Rainbow while negotiating World Peace.
In the meantime, I am happy to report that I’ve chosen the pattern of quilt for us to piece together and I can now go fabric shopping. The quilt is …. wait for it ….. a free Amy Butler design. (Yay for Amy! Yay for free!) It’s that one over on the left.
Don’t panic! I will applique the lovely curved shape once I receive your blocks. The base is a simple string pieced 9 1/2 inch square. I’ll send lots of yummy fabric for you to choose.
The PDF file of instructions is here, if you wish to have a looksee now. If you want me to do a colour printout for you just holler in the comments and I’ll be sure to send you one in the fabric packet.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I’m sorry, but I have to laugh. I’m just finishing up a swap of string blocks. I’m up to my elbows in strings right now!!! LOL! Your block will be a piece of cake, I’ve had lots of practice recently. 😉

And when do we see the ball-gown portion? Can you wave and walk on 16 inch heels? Love the pattern.
How about we do a little introduction on ourselves? We’re going to be spending a year together working on our quilts. It would be nice to know a little bit about one another.
Do we want to open a separate thread for that?
I agree, Julie, that would be really nice. Maybe each person can open up a new thread, so we can see each person’s up on the screen? I think you just click on “posts” and “add new” from your dashboard…
I don’t see where we can start posts of our own. I don’t see “posts” or “add new.” I don’t understand dashboard either.
